Rafael De Leon is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in New York City. At the age of three, he wore out his father's beta machine due to watching "Masters of the Universe" (1987) repeatedly and gained an infatuation with horror films soon afterwards. Since graduating from Fordham University, where he studied Communications and Visual Arts, his short films have screened at events and festivals such as Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors, the New York City Horror Film Festival and the Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival.

His writing has also garnered praise with his horror feature script, "The Goddess", placing in the Extreme Screenwriting Contest and the Silver Screenwriting Competition. Rafael's latest film, WAFFLE, is now starting the festival circuit and he is currently in development on his next short film and feature screenplay.
